Tulip Steakhouse: Toronto Hidden Gem!

On good friday, My friends and I went out for a photo shoot, after that, since we were so tired and hungry, we decided to try out the steak house down at the beach are in Toronto.

This place is more a diner than a "Steakhouse", casual dressing, nothing fancy. from the out look, it's one of the place that if my co-worker didnt' told me, i probably won't even notice.

But once we walked in, wow! the aroma just rushed toward you. you knew u didnt' went to the wrong place.

This place is called Tulip, is down at 1610 Queen Street East (phone number 416-469-5797).

I can tell you, the steak is amazing! it was cooked to perfection, I order a beef tenderloin, rare. and an onion soup, and they were superb!

The price is right too! the steak about 20-30 bucks depends on type and size. OH speaking of size, i order an 8 oz, and it was definately more than regular 8oz in other place, this is more like 8oz after cooking.

definately a place to revisit.

New Flight Regulation on Li-Ion battery

Well, I was gonna do some research on restriction on photography, and came across this.
Apparently, as of Jan 1, 2008, US Department of Travel (DOT) has implemented a new regulation on Li-Ion Battery for air travel. (detail can see here http://safetravel.dot.gov/whats_new_batteries.html)

From what I understand, here's the rule
1) No more Spare battery in check-in Luggage. You can still pack the battery with the device if you check them in. but no loose battery in your big suitcase.
2) All Spare battery must pack in carry on luggage, with individually sealed clear ziplog bag, or electrical tape tie around the terminal. (http://safetravel.dot.gov/how_to.html)
3) If your battery contain more than 8gram of Lithium (and under 25g) You can only bring maximum 2 of them. Anything over 25g of Lithium is NOT ALLOWED at all.

I came across the posting from dpreview (http://www.dpreview.com/news/0712/07123101batteryrestrictions.asp).
So i just figure i would share with all of you.

RFID, safe?

So I heard of the news few days ago that someone in some university has broken the encryption on RFID.

well, here' it is!

This is kind of scary actually, think of all those access card, gas speedpay pass, credit card, border...

all the bad guy needs is wave the loopy antenna on your wallet, and boom, he got the key and clone the card! (see video below)

Seems like the weather is warming up. At least that's what the trend shows.
don't get me wrong, I've always love winter, i love snow! but this winter is brutal! we almost hit the record high since the 1938!! (just need another 12 cm to beat that, but i doubt we gonna get the rest!)
This winter kinda trapped me indoor most of the time. at least i didn't travel much like last summer. (u can see how many picture/blog post i did and figure out!)
Well, time to clean up my gear and get myself ready for new picts!

Canadian Sunset
Andy Williams
Words and Music by Norman Gimbel and Eddie Heywood

Once I was alone
So lonely and then
You came, out of nowhere
Like the sun up from the hills

Cold, cold was the wind
Warm, warm were your lips
Out there, on that ski trail
Where your kiss filled me with thrills

A weekend in Canada, a change of scene
Was the most I bargained for
And then I discovered you and in your eyes
I found the love that I couldn't ignore

Down, down came the sun
Fast, fast, fast, beat my heart
I knew when the sun set
From that day, we'd never ever part
